My skills in English

To be honest, I think that I'm okay in reading in English, sometimes I've got some problems with words that I do not know, but I just look them up in a dictionary and the problem is solved. I have some problems with the grammar too, it's very hard for me to learn all the structures of the tenses.

Speaking of myself, my weakest point is the Listening, because I don't know the pronunciation of too many words so it's hard for me to understand what people is trying to say to me. Besides, while I am trying understanding the sentences, I cannot follow the speed of the conversations.   

My speaking skills are poor. I had problems to create sentences and participate of the conversations. When I speak in English with my brother, I cannot express mi ideas in English.

I choose this article because I think the war against the terrorism is very important in the world and specifically, in the European countries.

The article said that Germany´s parliament with a solid majority enters to the European campaign against Islamic State. In a debate, the politics argue about the terror attacks on Paris. The majority is conformed of a coalition of conservatives and social democrats. Germany will send jets to protect the French aircraft. The military intervention in Islamic State has high public approvals in the nation.

 Many politics say that the mission might generate one international agreement and parliamentary group says that the intervention had support in Germany. These groups defend the military intervention because they are agreeing with the diplomacy. Other politics group accused to US, because says that US create the monster of Islamic State. The terrorism of Islamic State is one product of other wars in the world, and therefore many people critiqued the intervention.

The German Armed Forced Association told about the mission and says that the war is not an end in itself, because is necessary plan a strategy for eliminate the terrorism in the world. The military strategist are a battle against Islamic State for one decade, but Ursula von der Leyen, the defense minister said that Germany should consider a larger armed conflict. Besides, she talked about the bombing mission, which would generate more terror.  In Germany is important to fight “the terror” and cut his roots.

A book

For the university I have read many books and articles or other similar things, but I do not read many books of other areas, or styles. For Example, I haven´t  time for read novels, poetry, science fiction and I only read books about sociology and academic articles.  Some time ago I read a book a great book (in my opinion) about religion and science. The book is called “Religion y Darwinismo”. It is written for one Chilean, Juan Rivano. Is a philosophical book and the central topic is the conflict between religious belief and scientific demonstration in the actuality.  

The book is little, only has 100 pages, but in my opinion is a complicated, because, the writer is a philosophe, and he uses references of many various worlds.  The book is a mix between of philosophy, sociology, psychology, history, religion, biology, and has “technical concepts”, therefore is a complicated book.  Many times I search in internet words, theories or and thesis for understand the book. I admit that learn many interesting things. Although the book was little, with the university and other responsibilities, only I could read all the chapters in one month. With the line of argument, I could read 10 pages for day.  (Well, is probably that I was a bad reader or have problems of concentration)

In all my life, always I have been interested for this topic, the conflict between science and religion. Today the conflict still exits, and is interesting for me. 

A place in Santiago

The truth, I do not know what place I would like visit.  But I remember that long ago time that i do not go to the zoo.

Yes, the zoo. I know that many peoples think that the zoo is a place where the animales suffer, and I agree with these people, but, I like the animals. I love the qualities they have. The species, the differences and colors, for example, I like a lot reptiles.
The problema is that  I like animals likes a giraffes, crocodiles.  I mean that i like the bigs animals, and the only places where bigs animales is the zoo.

Well, just for this blog jajaj, I would like go to the metropolitan zoo.  I would go to the national zoo, because has animals that i like, besides I supuse that there are animals that long since seen.  I remember that i went to the zoo when i was a child. I think that I had 8 years old. Today i had 20 years old, and I suppose that in 12 years, the zoo changed. 
When i was a child I can not walk for all the place, and therefore I do no know all te zoo and I want know it. I want to the zoo because I never finished to meet. It is a dream of my Childhood. But sometimes I think it is not good have animals in cages. The animales are free!!

What makes me happy?

The things that make me happy are, for example, the music, the food, my friends, my pet and my family.

I am happy with these things, because, for example with my friends we have a good relation. With my friends never argue, or have any problems, the true is that always is entertaining share time playing videogames or talking.

My pet is my life. I have a dog, Chuck. Chuck is a dog very fabulous, is hairy and playful, but also is a dog very coward because escape of other dogs in the park.  My life with chuck is very entertaining and happy. I think that we are a great team.

The music also makes me happy. Now I have a band and play bass. When I play in the presentations I enjoy very much, it is very funny. Play with a band is a great experience in my life because I learned of other musicians. Now, we are composing songs and is very entertaining mix the different techniques and styles in a song.

My family makes me happy because we have a good relation. With my brother listening the same music, and have similar tastes. Sometimes he helps me in English and I Help to my brother in sociology.

I do not say that I “discover” this things, because are things that I like and makes me happy in my life. 

English Practice

I think that in the activists I have good things, but also have any problems.  In reading and vocabulary I got good results. Mainly I have problems in the Listening, because I do not understand the pronunciation of the words, therefore, for me is difficulty pay attention in the listening test.  Besides, I think that the dialogues are very fast and confuse me.   

Task 8

Araki Hirohiko is a japanese mangaka born in June 6th, 1960. He is known for writing the manga “Baoh” in 1984, but he is worldwide known for writing “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” in 1987, one of the longest and most acclaimed mangas of all time and is currently on it’s 8th part now.

Right now there is an anime adaptation of “Jojo’s”, this adaptation is available until the 3rd part, but the 4th part should be airing next year.

Araki has been often compared to Akira Toriyama, the Dragon Ball creator, but I think that Araki is cleverer, more creative and with a very unique style when he tells his stories and how the fight scenes are developed. Thanks to his work in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Araki has changed forever how a good fight should be written in a manga.

I get to know him because one of my best friends told me to watch it. So I watched it and I fell in love with the story, when I finished the anime I started to read the manga.

If I happen to meet him I’d ask him of how he gets the inspiration to write the story, because all the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure parts are very different from each other, how could he tell a story since 1987 until today without losing any quality, in fact, it has only improved.

And I’d ask if he’s had any legal problem with his manga, because most of the main villains are named after famous western bands, like AC/DC, Metallica, Spice Girls and Foo Fighters.

Task 7.

I remember that in the Christmas of 2002 I received a new toy. Yes, I like very much the toys, and in my infancy always received Toys.  

For Christmas I did not ask anything, because in my birthday mi parents and family gave me a lot of present. My birthday is in December therefore I think that for Christmas I do not ask presents.  But, my parents decided gave me a surprise.

This new toy was “spectacular” because it was a “Power Ranger” toy. 

Yes, I love the “Power rangers”, I know that is a bad show of TV, but, when in my Infancy I always watched the series in the television and I was enjoying very much. Today, when I do “Zapping” in the Television try watch the series, but I admit that are very boring… Maybe I matured… Jojo

Well, this new toy was “spectacular” because it had a motorbike, he had every detail and also, it was my favorite power rangers… The black Power Ranger. I remember that I enjoyed with my new toy, and it was great, because if you press a button of the motorbike, the motorbike will transform in a motorbike with wings.   

In the night I went to play with my friends, and later, all the days I played with my new toy, my favorite toy.

I admit that my favorite color is black, because, mi favorite power ranger was the Black Ranger.

Today, my power rangers are with mi other toys of my infancy. They are in hidden in a box

Task 5

Hello people, in this opportunity I going to talk about of my love for the music. 

First of all, my family is not a musical family. My parents are not musician. They do not play any musical instrument. I had not a musical influence in my infancy.

I only was played recorder flute in the school, but in 2009, my brother bought a bass guitar in a Bargain sale of musical instruments.

My brother was playing guitar, therefore buy a bass was a great idea.  Then I began to play bass in my house with my brother. When I played bass, I felt one connection with the music, and later, in 2010 I bought a keyboard. I wanted play keyboard because I think that is the musical instrument most perfect, besides, you can compose many styles. You can use the deep notes for the harmony and the high notes for the melody.

Today, in 2015 I bought a transversal flute, and I am trying play all the days for progress faster.  

I have two favorite bands, Death and Ñu, but these bands have styles very different. Death is death metal, is a traditional band, they play, bass, guitar, and Drums, but Ñu is a band very strange.

Ñu have not a specific style, I think that sounds like a folk heavy rock metal. Ñu use flutes, guitar, drums, bass, violin, and keyboard. They have 20 discs with very different styles. 

Task 4

When I think about my daily life, in the university, in my house or conversations with my friends, I am not a “green person”. I do not say that I like destroy the planet and things like an “I agree with burn the jungles and build more cities”, but I my daily life I do not contribute for save the planet.

I agree that the actually state of environment is serious, very serious, and is necessary change the situation, therefore is important that the society organize politics and distribute resources with the objective of protect the environment. Although the idea that the society protects the environment sound fabulous, the great problem is that the people that live in the society do not act for protect the planet, and many times, the people do not feel the importance of environments.

Maybe, the people have not the education about this problem or the access to the information. In Santiago, many times in the year the air is very contaminate and “administration metropolitan” must decree “environment alarm”, “pre-emergency” or “emergency”, but the people do not change their habits like a smoke, drive a car.  

I am a person that do not change his habits for protect the environment; therefore I am not a “green person”. But, I try not contaminate too much, because I think that is impossible not contaminate. I think that I can contribute, burying the organic waste in the garden, taking a shower shorter and not using deodorant of aerosol. 

Task 3

Well, in the celebration for Fiestas Patrias, I go to the house of my grandmother. Every time I was with my family in 18 of September, but in 2014 the celebration was different. My grandfather died in 7 of September of 2014, but, he enjoyed very much all things that the Chileans did in Fiestas Patrias, therefore, with my family decided don´t suffer and celebrate together with my grandmother.

We invited too many people and family, but we wanted a great celebration. My grandmother, with his sister and my mom cooked many foods. The principal meal was meat, chicken but, also, my family cooked empanadas of meat, cheese and shellfish.  Later, I remember that in the table we toasted for my grandfather and for the Fiestas Patrias. I was happy and sad, happy because I was with my family and sad because my grandfather was not with me.

I also remember that with my brother and cousins went to the park, and we played football, but we don´t play a long time because later flight kites. I doesn´t flight kites very well, but I have a cousin that have a “talent”. Because in two minutes the kite was fight with others kites in the sky. I enjoyed very much.

When we returned to the house, someone people was eating and other was dancing cueca. I think that my grandfather was happy in the sky.

Task 2

The 11 of September it's a date that, honestly, doesn't give any kind of emotion, I feel neither angry nor happy about it. I mean, It's okay to be angry about the human right that were violated during the dictatorship because there are still people that try to deny what happened that date, but using that as a reason to go to the street and make a complete havoc about it it's completely useless.

The chilean state has punished all the criminals that performed those horrible crimes, and as far as I'm concerned, they must be in jail for the rest of their life. On the other hand, the state has given to the victims' relatives some money for those crimes, and that totally great.

Nowadays, this date has been the reason of many young people to go out and start building barricades, burning tyres and attacking the authorities, and that it's absolutely wrong, that kinds of protests on this date it's completely outdated, because the most of the criminals involved are already in jail.

I think that the youth that goes out and destroy everything don't even know what happened that day; they use this date as a reason to do whatever they want, because they are not even affected of what happened that time.

Task 1.

Hello friends.  I would like go to Japan.

I think that Japan is like a other world, because the culture is very diferent. I think the people is strange, therefore I would like understand his tradition, religion and his world view.

I have a Friend that went to Japan in 2010. My friend Told me that in Japan, exist the "samurai culture". The "samurai culture" like a moral perfomance that the men must follow.  I study sociology, therefore, for me is important the relations between peoples. 

I would like learn to speak japanese, for view "anime" and read "manga", and play videogames that only exist in Japan. For me, Japan is a great world of tecnology, and things that in chile do not exist. I hope that, one day, I will go to Japan, maybe study or work, but, in Japan, I wish watch "Pokemon center tokyo". Pokemon is my favourite "anime".
